Not surprising, but very disappointing. Oh well, if they do the Blade Runner thing in NYC like they said, I will be hitting those shows for sure.

Just looked on Ticketmaster, and there's a third San Fran date (the 26th) listed. Looks like San Fran and NYC tickets go on sale 3/5/10. Martina is listed as opener on the NYC dates, as I'm sure she will be for all dates.
I encourage you to sign up for the venue's email list because many of them will give out pre-sale passwords. If you get a password, post it here please!

Surprised me.
Are they really playing more cities in Australia than the U.S.
They were on KCRW 2 days ago radio interview that EX posted [played some of their favorite tracks etc. by horace andy (g) and funny german groups (d)] and the man made it sound as if there would be more dates,
but,
possibly not..

They've only ever done 1 true tour of the US, in support of Collected. The others "tours" have always been relatively limited. They didn't play in Texas, which has 3 of the 10 largest cities in the US, until 2006. So that's why I'm not surpised they're not doing a proper tour.
However, it may not be out of the question that they'll come back. But I doubt they would choose US dates in the summer over the European summer festivals. So maybe a quick US tour in May, and then a return in the fall? I wouldn't bet on it, but who knows really.

There was a suggestion that there might be the odd extra one that month.
Given the plans to tour south america, europe - summer festivals and standalone dates in autumn and even japan somehow (and, oh yeah, an EP to procrastinate over) hard to see how a return to the US this year seems probable.
Also can't help but wonder how much it comes down to plain old market economics too - touring not equating to significant extra sales and literally 100's of dates required to 'break' or even 'dent' America, which they will never do; lest you forget too 100th Window didn't bother with America at all.
That said best ever chart showing in America [probably due to a) star-studs b) House] so those hoping for a reprise of dates have that tiny sign in their favour I guess...
